A cool change is coming to this year’s Festival on the Green! A large outdoor ice rink is set to take centre stage as the star attraction of Ku-ring-gai Council’s free festival. The annual celebration will take place from 10am-4pm at St Ives Village Green Sunday 1 May.

The rink is said to feature “a live Peter Pan stage show and spectacular roaming performers”, also offering festival goers the opportunity to try their hand at ice skating.

With something for the entire family to enjoy, think animal farm, face painting and amusement rides for the kids and multicultural food and market stalls for the grown-ups, the festival is not one to be missed. From arts and culture to delicious foods and music, you won’t be disappointed!

The Ku-ring-gai community will also have the exciting chance to let their imaginations run wild with a rare virtual reality experience at a unique nine-dimensional mobile cinema.

“It’s a fantastic day out for the family, with new attractions such as the ice rink and Peter Pan it’s sure to please,” says Mayor Cheryl Szatow.

Helpful tip:
Avoid any unwanted parking hassles by taking the free shuttle bus from Gordon Station. However, whilst there is limited street parking available around the venue, accessible parking is available within the park grounds.
